I am a painter, a facial animation expert and creative supervisor. I have been in the animation industry for over 20 years and have worked on 6 Oscar nominated films, and most recently Guillermo Del Torro’s Oscar winning Pinocchio.
At Laika Studios I had the opportunity to work on multiple feature films, such as Coraline, Paranorman, Boxtrolls, Kubo, and at Aardman Animations, their film Pirates. I have supervised departments for many years and worked closely with Directors and Producers, and collaborated with many other departments while meeting deadlines and problem solving the many challenges of filmmaking.
I love the process of breaking down a script with the director and leading a team through the many stages of film-making. My many years in stop motion animation have trained my eye to pursue rich and textured artwork, and my imagination to explore past the usual.
